    Description

    This is a vintage Japanese Showa Era (c. 1930) Lidded wooden lacquered sencha tea cup. It has a hand painted geometric floral design on the lid. It has been hand lathed turned and has over 10 coats of Japanese black and red urushi lacquer applied in thin layers to produce a mirror like finish.
    This tea cup measures 3 1/2" in diameter by 2 1/4" tall (8.3 x 6 cm)
