    Description

This attractive vintage Japanese pomade tin is an oval shaped tin with a detailed litho design along the sides and a wonderful image of the Yokai Kappa looking through a bower of roses on the front. The back has the words Kappa Pomade, pure vegetable, plus a lot of Japanese characters that are probably instructions for use.
Now if you are aware of Kappa, you'll know he is a water dwelling reptillian humanoid known for passing gas (after all it has three anuses) and being fond of entrails (specifically human anuses). They do have some positive traits...the ability to learn human languages, knowledge of medicine, especially setting broken bones, never breaking a promise...so it sort of offsets some of the less desirable traits...except maybe dragging victims to a watery grave. No mention of pomade.
This tin is oval in shape with a lift off lid. The size is about 4 inches (10 cm) by 2.75 inches (7 cm) and1 inch (2.54 cm) deep. Condition is very good with minimal wear. The tin is empty.
