Here is a pair of Freer ProMark FK11 small gray PVC/Brass Insert ball on rattan handles for bells or xylophone.  Very Lightly used; great price
1" small PVC ball with brass insert
rattan diameter: 1/4"
total length: 13-1/2"
The shafts have my initials lightly marked in permanent marker but that usually comes off with Goop water-less hand cleaner and a little rubbing with 0000 very fine steel wool.
The glue residue shows on one mallet - it was that way when new. I did not re-glue it.
Rattan shafts may be very slightly warped. Instructions for straightening are easy to find on the internet.
