    Antique Japanese Yokohama Kutani Cup & Saucer Octagonal Landscape & People
    DETAILS OF ITEM
    This is a rare antique Japanese Yokohama Kutani cup & saucer that measures 2.13 inches high by 5.25 inches in diameter.  It has a repeating pattern on both the cup and the saucer and depicts a landscape scene complete with a lake, country homes, Cherry Blossom trees, flying birds, and Mt. Fuji in the distant background.  It was entirely hand painted with accents of gold surrounding both the cup and saucer.  Also, the handle is in the form of bamboo.  There is a small bit of Moriage in the design on both pieces.
    The condition is very good and its age is from the 1920's to 1930's (Taisho/Showa era in Japan).
