    Description

    This is an antique Japanese Edo era (mid 1800's) all hand painted
    tea cup (
    Yunomi
    ) used specifically for drinking sencha.
    This teacup was
    fired in a wood burning kiln at high temperatures for lasting durability. It has a
    hanabishi
    motif (diamond flower) in
    gosu
    blue made from cobalt encircling the cup in a trio.
    At the time of listing we have six individual cup available (see final picture), in addition to a set of 5 more.
    It measures 3 1/8" in across by 2 1/4" tall (8 x 5.5 cm). Having been safely stored in a family collection for the past half century, it remains in
    fine condition.
